From Occupy Wall Street to Occupy America

The Occupy Wall Street movement swelled to at least 20,000 people yesterday – as demonstrators peaceably marched through Manhattan alongside throngs of unionized workers. But as the sun went down – and demonstrators attempted to take their march to Wall Street – another police crackdown ensued. Ashley Sanders, writer and community organizer, Ariel Zevon, local activist in VT, and Kristen Gwynne from Alternet all join Thom Hartmann to discuss the story. Then Amanda Beadle from Think Progress.org joins Thom to talk about the mass exodus of Hispanic families fleeing the state of Alabama since state Republican lawmakers passed a radical anti-immigration law that came into effect last Thursday.
